Seven members of the Sports Committee participated in the Sulaymaniyah International Marathon, and all of them achieved remarkable standings.
The marathon commenced at 10 a.m. from Malik Mahmoud Square in front of the Jwezah Urban Complex. Runners could choose between two distances: 5 kilometers and 21 kilometers. The 5-kilometer race was ideal for beginners or those seeking a fun challenge, while the 21-kilometer race was suitable for experienced runners looking to push their limits.
Participation in these events was open to the public, and prizes were awarded to the male and female winners in each distance category. Further details will be provided in a more comprehensive report.
